What does it feel like to look back at the first photographs you took?
When I look at those photos–especially anything I shot at night–the feeling I have is “OH MY GOSH!” I don’t like them at all, but it’s funny to have a look sometimes.

How did you end up taking photographs in Ibiza?
I left Sardinia in my twenties and went to London, where lived for almost ten years. Just before I travelled through India, a good friend bought me a Nikon camera to document my journey. I fell in love with photography on that trip. After my return to London I decided to learn more about photography, so I enrolled on a college course. I loved London but I was missing the nice weather, sea, sunsets and moons of my home country. I wanted to keep searching however, and somehow I found my way to Ibiza.

Where did you spend most of your time on the island this summer?
Blue Marlin in Cala Jondal and my local beach in Siesta. Should I say my desk at home as well? When I’m not working I’m always editing behind that desk!

Are you a dog or a cat person?
I love both, but definitely I’m more keen on cats than dogs. My cat is called Lisa and we’ve shared our lives for 13 years. She’s a Londoner.

How do you know when a photograph is good?
When it gives me an emotion.

What does it feel like to go back to Sardinia now that you live in Ibiza?
It feels very good! I love Sardinia so much that I can’t stay long anywhere without going back there. I have three places I call home; Ibiza, London & Sardinia. All of them are very jealous of one other, so I try to divide my time equally!

How do you relax when you’re not making pictures?
Now let me think… Is there ever a time I’m not making pictures? I don’t think so! When I do get a moment, I love to explore the island, especially rocky, hard-to-find beaches. I hunt for wild asparagus in the spring and autumn countryside. I also escape to Cala Nova when I can.

Are you a pessimist or an optimist?
I’m generally an optimist.

Which celebrity would you most like to photograph?
Marilyn Manson.

Will you still be in Ibiza in 10 years?
It looks like every ten years I seem to move! I love Ibiza but who knows?

What are you doing this winter?
I’m going to London for a couple of months of course. During January & February there are amazing Pagan carnivals in Sardinia and I’m addicted to shooting them, so of course I’ll be there. By March I’ll be back in Ibiza.
